Market Street on film 1906 http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/stew/detail?entry_id=62237
The video below is titled "A Trip Down Market Street" and it's true to its name, a 13 minute trip from 8th Street down Market Street to the Ferry Building just days before the great quake of 1906. You'll see a vibrant metropolis full of cars, bikes, horses, cable cars and people traversing Market St. The detective story behind the film clip is almost as interesting as what it contains. (Please note that there are rolling frames and a slight stall in the early part of the film which end at the 1 minute 40 second mark.)

[Keep the Arboretum Free] Free Event Thursday May 6 6:30pm at the Hall of Flowers in Golden Gate Park, SF
Public Forum and Open Discussion Concerning the Fee for the San Francisco Botanical Gardens at Strybing Arboretum
Too often in San Francisco a chosen few make major decisions without public input. This has been especially true with the Recreation and Park Department.
Please join us on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the main auditorium of the Hall of Flowers (County Fair Building) 9th @ Lincoln
to discuss the issues surrounding the proposed $7"nonresident" fees for the San Francisco Botanical Gardens at Strybing Arboretum.
We will begin (at 6:30 PM) with a brief informative and humorous presentation about the history of the Arboretum and the Society's decades-long role in proposing a fee.
The role of City administrators and bureaucrats in pushing for this fee, and the lack of public input will also be covered.
A discussion, moderated by KALW "Your Call Radio" talk-show host Rose Aguilar, will follow the presentation. All points of view are welcome, and, in contrast to most public meetings, question/comment cards will not be used. Participants will stand in line in order to comment.
We expect a lively discussion and welcome questions and comments on the following topics:
• What will be the effects of a fee?
• Is it a good idea to charge a discriminatory fee?
• Will the fees for the Arboretum and the $2 surcharge at Coit Tower damage tourism?
• How should the Arboretum serve the Inner Sunset community?
• How would a fee be implemented?
• If gardeners are cut, what would be the effect on the gardens?
• What should the proper role of public-private partnerships be?
• Do the Botanical Garden Society and the Parks Trust have too much power?
• What should the role of history be in affecting policy decisions affecting Golden Gate Park? For example, should Helene Strybing's original intent for her legacy affect administration of and funding for the Arboretum?
• What should the role of the neighborhoods be in the functioning of the Arboretum and other institutions in Golden Gate Park?
Photo: The flowers on the Helene Strybing tree which was named after the Arboretum's founder who gave the seed money for the Arboretum on condition that the City government fund the Arboretum in perpetuity and that she and her husband be remembered. (The Society changed the name and, judging by their logo design, clearly intends to drop the 'at Strybing Arboretum' from the Arboretum's name).

Thu May 13

Thu May 13 An Introduction to The Art of Sensual Restraint - A FREE Workshop - Rope leads to surrender, surrender to intimacy.
Rope bondage is a dance -- one person leads, the other follows, one person commands, the other surrenders. It is a simple, tangible and beautiful way to hold someone and to let yourself be fully and completely held.
Join us for this evening of fun and exploration as we teach you how to use rope to create heat and connection (whether tying or being tied) between you and your partner.
You’ll learn: • The basic ingredients of a good tie • How to tie with connection
• How to safely let yourself be handled and held • The 3 keys to power exchange
Bring a friend (not required) and bring some rope if you have it — one piece 25’ or more is sufficient. There will be extra rope on hand (but we can’t guarantee there will be extra friends).
7:00pm - 9:00pm Thursday May 13 115 10th St, SF (near Mission St) Cost: FREE Rope: Provided
Attire: Comfortable, form fitting clothing, nudity not required (but not discouraged either).
Rope is the medium, connection is the message — let us show you how to deliver and receive with precision and care!

http://bilderberg.org is a watchdog site monitoring Bilderberg meetings. so are http://infowars.com http://prisonplanet.com
the Bilderberg group is meeting in Sitges, Spain, between 3-6 June 2010, as Jim Tucker wrote earlier:
http://www.facebook.com/l/7eba6;www.americanfreepress.net/html/bilderberg_found_217.html
We are planning to go with a few activists from Belgium, and now we are looking for other activists who can help us find a place to sleep between 01/06 and 09/06, all help is welcome, we don't ask much, just a dry place to sleep, we will be coming with three of four persons, and our intentions are to interview Daniel Estuling & Jim Tucker, and I'm sure there are many other interesting people to connect with..
We hope to hear from you guys? It's the time to help one another, together we stand, divided we fall...
The more people who are interested in a collective action, please let us know, for we all need each other to stand together..
You can contact me about this here on Facebook, but you can also mail me about this on gerry@belfort-http://www.facebook.com/l/7eba6;group.eu or you can contact me on Skype under the name Gerry Nelissen or FreedomFighter2012..

Crash Course Chapter 3: Exponential Growth Chapter 4: Compounding Is The Problem are you prepared?
http://chrismartenson.com/crashcourse
If you only watch one chapter, start with chapter 16: fuzzy numbers

"In Germany back in 1923, a man put all the money he had into a wheelbarrow and headed to the store to buy a loaf of bread. But when he got there, the store was closed. He left his wheelbarrow outside the door, figuring he'd come back when the store opened, knowing the money in it wasn't worth enough for anyone to bother stealing. He was right. When he came back, all the money was still there, dumped on the ground, but someone had stolen his wheelbarrow."

Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily. No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.

GUN CONTROL WORKS ask the experts: Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao Tse-Tung, Idi Amin, Kim Jong-il, Qaddafi
http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2007/04/17/18400846.php The 2nd Amendment
Washington didn't use his right to free speech to defeat the British, he shot them.
Most often when a government takes a peoples guns, it then takes their land or their lives.
